This piece is based on an original work exhibited in the 2007 exhibition Shinka (Core Flower),
and was revised and restructured in 2021.
At the time, Maki had been painting flowers in monochrome.
But after the 2011 earthquake and tsunami, she began creating works filled with vibrant color.
Though the flowers she painted do not exist in reality,
she continued to explore colors and forms that could quietly touch the deeper layers of memory and emotion.
This work, Meditative Flower, is one such precious bloom born from that journey.
The surface is laminated with a layer of clear acrylic, enhancing both depth and luster.
The back is finished with a wooden panel, making it ready to hang directly on the wall.
It offers gallery-quality presentation while blending naturally into any living space.
この作品は、2007年に開催された展覧会『芯花』に出品された原画をもとに、
2021年、加筆・再構成されたものです。
当時、モノクロームで花を描き続けていた牧は、2011年の震災以降、
鮮やかな色彩の花を描くようになりました。
現実には存在しない花でありながら、
見る人の記憶や感情の深いところに触れるような──
そんな色とフォルムを探求し続けてきました。
この《瞑想する花 / meditative flower》もまた、
その中で生まれた、大切な一輪です。
表面には透明感のあるアクリルでラミネート加工を施し、
奥行きと艶感を引き出した仕様になっています。
裏面は木製パネル仕上げで、そのまま壁に掛けて飾ることが可能です。
